Description

Automatic Recirculation valves, also knows as pump protection valves or minimum flow valves are installed at the outlet of a feedwater pump to prevent pump damage due to overheating, severe noise, instability and cavitation when the feedwater pump is running under load. If the pump flow is lower than the preset flow, a bypass opens completely to ensure a minimum required flow to the liquid feed water pump.
